Environmental Action Group |

| Description: | Amigos de Isla Contoy will be holding the first meeting to form a citizens " Environmental Action Group" Thurs. Oct. 23, from 5-8pm, at the new Environmental Education Center (see directions below). This group will work towards forward progress with environmental issues specific to the island (including recycling) and putting ideas into action. This group will also form a partnership with a similar group in Jalisco, MX which is coordinated by Prof. Salvador Garcia Ruval Caba , a renowned environmentalist who came and gave a conference on Isla this past May.
Prof. Salvador is currently back on the island, and along with Amigos de Isla Contoy will be facilitating the meeting this evening. This community group is open to all; local and foreign, young and old (children welcome).
If you are interested in helping to improve the environmental health of the island and want to know what you specifically can do, please join us at the meeting.
